Silly comes from the old English word "selig," and it's literal definition is "to be blessed, happy, healthy and prosperous." I was silly yesterday evening and for the first time in a longtime, I had fun! I had purposed it in my heart earlier in the day that I wanted to go out to dinner with my husband and I wanted to feel healthy, laugh a lot, be happy and have fun! That's exactly what we did and after having been ill for such a long time it felt WONDERFUL to feel light and silly!
Feel blessed, happy, healthy and prosperous! All those things start in the soul so they are never out of reach. Stop feeling downcast or acting grumpy and take a break from it. Go be silly and let it refresh your soul! See how many people you can give your smile to today!
Philippians 4:4, Rejoice in the Lord always!
